Support Bowel Cancer UK Recycling Appeal Start Date: January 2012Registered Charity No: 1071038 |
Bowel Cancer UK aims to save lives by raising awareness of bowel cancer, campaigning for best treatment and care and providing practical support and advice.
Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer of men and women in the UK, survival rates are amongst the lowest in Europe. Just under 40,000 men and women are diagnosed with bowel cancer, and more than 16,000 die from the disease each year, that’s someone every half an hour. Earlier diagnosis and treatment is all it would take to avoid many of these deaths. If diagnosed at the earliest stage, bowel cancer is highly treatable, with a survival rate of more than 90%.
We work hard across all four nations in the UK, to raise awareness of the disease and encourage people to reduce their risk, including taking part in the screening programme. www.bowelcanceruk.org.uk
Patients are at the centre of everything we do. We campaign on their behalf, and work with politicians and the NHS to make sure that patients can access the best treatment and care.
Our Information & Support Service is staffed by specialist nurses and provides expert advice and reassuring support and comfort to people affected by the disease.
Please donate your used ink cartridges, mobile handsets, ipods, CDs and DVDs and help us to stop people dying needlessly from bowel cancer.
Please Note: We recycle all mobile phones however we cannot accept epson, epson compatible or damaged cartridges. For a full list of accepted printer cartridges click here.
