Children undergoing treatment for cancer or leukaemia are often able to live at home but cannot travel far. For these children a short break away with mum, dad and siblings can be ‘just what the doctor ordered’. The Lennox currently owns five holiday homes at seaside locations around the UK, these are provided free of charge with additional spending money to allow the family to spend quality time together.

In many cases, one or both parents have to give up work to care for their child full-time during intensive treatments. This can leave them struggling to pay for simple necessities, such as food, travel or even the mortgage. The Lennox offers welfare grants to help during this tough time and ensure that parents are able to direct their full attention to the child.

Fundraising Project

The Lennox is currently the only charity in the UK offering this type of support to families with a child fighting cancer or leukaemia.

Small and simple projects like these can make a huge difference to so many lives. However, the running costs alone run into tens of thousands of pounds every year and without constant support of the public, the charity would be unable to continue providing welfare grants or crisis break holidays. Up to £10 from every mobile phone or ink cartridge that you recycle will go directly to the Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund.
