The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only charity in the world that is solely dedicated to defeating lung cancer. The Foundation began in 1990 as The Lung Cancer Fund. In 1992, entertainer and celebrity Roy Castle was diagnosed with lung cancer. A lifelong non-smoker, he adopted a positive attitude to his situation and dedicated the last year of his life to promoting the work of the charity, to which he lent his name. All funds raised through the Roy Castle Recycling Appeal support the Foundation’s three main areas of activity: lung cancer research, support for those affected by lung cancer, and tobacco control programmes including KATS (Kids Against Tobacco Smoke).

You can help The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation ‘de-feet’ lung cancer by getting involved in our latest campaign.

‘De-Feet’ Lung Cancer is our exciting new fundraising initiative aimed at encouraging people of all ages and walks of life, to get involved, by raising money through a variety of fun activities using their (or someone else’s!) feet. 

Anyone can help ‘De-Feet’ lung cancer, whether it be in the workplace, at school, or within community groups. We envisage dancing, walking, running and sporting activities, as well as pamper evenings and pedicures. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes for the day – how will the boss cope as the receptionist!!!
